Designed to Relieve Cairo, Built to Inspire the World

The New Administrative Capital was born from decades of concern over Cairo's severe congestion, population explosion exceeding 20 million, urban sprawl, pollution, and aging infrastructure.

More than a relocation of government, the NAC represents Egypt's attempt to redefine its urban future in the 21st century — combining mega-scale infrastructure, advanced urban planning, digital governance, and real estate development into a globally competitive smart metropolis.

By 2050, the city will house 6.5 million people and generate nearly 2 million permanent jobs. The first phase alone covers 40,000 acres and already hosts all 34 government ministries, the Central Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian Exchange, and 18 of Egypt's 38 commercial banks.
